International public competition for the development of an urban planning and landscape architecture project for the park along the Serbian army boulevard in Banja Luka

The transformation of the space, formerly intended for military infrastructure, into a public multifunctional urban park has multiple significance for the future development of Banja Luka.

Thanks to a creative and innovative selection of activities and contents of the future park, specific to this space, the authors of the competition have the possibility of defining a different brand, an image / postcard of Banja Luka, unique and innovative, with a historical and pleasant metaphor for a longer stay and visit.

As stated in the ad, this space should functionally shape the natural features of the space, connect contact goals, and develop environmental, educational, aesthetic, and recreational surfaces. The content of the future park and recreation area should respond to the gaps present in the social scene of the city of Banja Luka and its surroundings, using sustainable, modular, adaptable, modern and multiple solutions.

The competition for the new city park will be open until December 5, 2021. The best concept design will receive a cash prize of EUR 15,000.

The competition is being held digitally, and more information can be found on the following lings: https://www.banjaluka.rs.ba/konkurs-park-bl/ è https://en.banjaluka.rs.ba/competition-park-bl/.
